Olsson Marketing Research Analyst in Overland Park, Kansas

The Marketing Research Analyst will focus on research and analytics that help drive business decisions specific to firmwide initiatives. As a member of the Sales and Growth team, you will be responsible for research and analysis projects related to the future growth of the firm, which includes, but is not limited to research and analysis of clients, competitors, geographic expansion, market expansion, and acquisition targets, and providing recommendations for action to key stakeholders. In addition, the Marketing Research Analyst will have a broad understanding of the firm’s proprietary data and how to use that data to identify the likelihood of successful outcomes in winning work through predictive analytics. Primary Responsibilities: * Conduct and manage quantitative and qualitative research and analysis projects to support and provide input on key strategic business initiatives related to clients, competitor intelligence, geographic and market expansion, and acquisition targets. * Independently design and execute standard research methodologies. * Prepare presentations, deliver findings, and make strategic recommendations. * Create strong interpersonal relationships with key stakeholders to better understand their business needs. * Ability to draw conclusions and see connections between data and business decisions. * Leverage sufficient understanding of the business and strategy to provide business recommendations to key stakeholders. * Define the data elements and data structure that our team should leverage to enable analytical and reporting capabilities for the sales and growth team. * Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format. * Understand the open source, subscription, and proprietary data sources available and search out and incorporate new data sources that can help answer potential business questions. * Collaborate with the firm’s software developers and programmers to create business intelligence tools using the firm’s proprietary data. /* Olsson currently has an opportunity for a Marketing Research Analyst with our Lincoln, NE team.
