Humana Inside Sales Executive in Overland Park, Kansas

Description

The Inside Sales Executive responds to inbound calls inquiring about commercial health plans, places outbound calls based on leads, and completes the sales of products and/or services. The Inside Sales Executive work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Executive arranges for field representative to visit prospect if sales are not closed. Responsible for managing the day-to-day selling and/or account management for Commercial Sales. Accountable for achieving new sales and/or renewal goals for defined territory or book of accounts. Responsible for recruiting/developing new brokers to the hierarchy. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 1 year of relationship management and sales experience

  • Must have an active resident Life & Health insurance license in your state of current residence (based on the resident state's Department of Insurance requirement). If residence is outside of Arizona, must be able to obtain state of Arizona health and life insurance licenses within 30 days following start.

  • Intermediate experience in MS Office programs

  • Core business hours align to MST/PST time zones (8am - 5pm)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with insurance products

  • Healthcare industry experience
