Introduction to the team
We are looking for a bright and highly-motivated HR Specialist for our National HR team. This team partners with the business leaders in our National Office departments of Sales & Marketing, Finance, Shared Services, Payroll, IT, People Team, Legal, National Tax, Professional Practice Group, and the firmwide leader for our HR Field team. Reporting to an HR Manager, the HR Specialist plays a key role in our people experience and initiatives. As a champion of the Moss Adams culture and values, the HR Specialist drives the firm’s People Cornerstone strategies and shows passion for partnering with our leaders to grow and manage our business. This position provides drives key processes such as onboarding and provides proactive insight and guidance to our leaders and employees. In partnership with the HR Field team, the HR Generalist will have the opportunity to assist with and manage special projects while collaborating with others in our People Operations and Programs teams. The HR Specialist brings innovative leadership, makes data-driven decisions, and serves as a trusted business advisor. As this role supports our People Team and other National departments, the highest level of discretion and integrity is required.

Provide support to the Regional HR Manager and leadership team by executing on people programs, the employee lifecycle, change management, performance management, and employee engagement
Process people transactions for new hires, job changes, compensation updates, and departures in the HRIS with focus on accuracy and timeliness
Drive the bi-annual performance management process by planning and scheduling meetings and communications; tracking progress; and providing support to employees and leaders
Field questions from employees and leaders on people processes and the interpretation of policies; escalate as needed
Maintain online employee records per firm policy and conduct audits as needed to ensure compliance
Deliver firmwide programs and initiatives to client group(s), such as employee engagement, recognition, diversity and inclusion, etc.
Demonstrate technical knowledge of employment laws and trends
Identify opportunities to improve processes, innovate, and participate in or lead team-wide projects focused on process or program improvement
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 1 year of related experienced required; experience in a professional services environment preferred
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)
Excellent organizational skills; able to effectively prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate with all levels within the firm Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion
Time management and organizational skills, proven ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects and processes, often under tight deadlines
Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others
Good problem solving and analytical skills; ability to identify process improvement suggestions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint). Experience with an HRIS preferred
Has awareness of common federal, state and local employment laws
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
