Position Description:

The position's primary task will be conducting workplace investigations related to allegations of policy violations. This position is an integral member of the human resources team providing subject matter expertise in employee relations and investigations. The role is responsible for working directly on employee cases to resolve matters of significance on behalf of management, including investigating and responding to internal and external complaints, and handling other complex, high-risk, or sensitive employee relations matters. This position partners closely with human resources business partners, legal and executive officers.

How you'll make an impact:

+ Conducts complex investigations into sensitive employee relations & EEO complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace complaints in an efficient, thorough, and professional manner

+ Identify investigation scope, sources, and investigative actions

+ Plan, schedule, and conduct effective interviews of complainants, respondents, and witnesses

+ Interviews witnesses at all levels of the organization using appropriate tact and impartiality

+ Analyze information collected from witnesses and evidence and reach timely and unbiased conclusions and findings

+ Provides practical, problem solving, even-handed solutions while serving as a trusted and confidential resource within the human resources team

+ Prepares thorough, professional reports of human resource, EEO, or personnel matters, including review of policy violations, performance, and/or conduct concerns

+ Composes correspondence and other highly confidential documents such as investigation summaries, corroboration charts, action plans, conclusion talking points, executive scripts, etc.

+ Provides sound technical and practical advice and guidance to administration and managers on employee relations matters, employee concerns, and workplace initiatives

+ Prepare and maintain accurate logs, complete reports and other documentation relating to investigations. Maintain confidentiality and organization of files of investigations conducted and information received

+ Conducts training sessions on employee relations topics which may include the preparation of presentations, and handouts on sample cases and workplace initiatives

+ Completes all compliance requirements and reporting such as EEO-1, VEVRA, Vets 100a reports, Affirmative Action Plan and others as needed

+ Maintains and updates company policies and code of ethics manual and employee handbook for domestic and international compliance

+ Partners with Talent Acquisition to review incomplete background checks for the organization and adjudicates hiring decision based on results

+ Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications for success:

+ Bachelor's Degree with a specia lization in Civil Rights and Employment Law or a degree in a related field

+ 5+ years of relevant work experience performing investigative duties and managing cases

+ Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws

+ Subject matter expert in one or more specialized regulatory area (e.g. EEO, ADA, FLSA)

+ Large, multi-site company experience preferred

+ Experience conducting and documenting workplace investigations

+ Wicklander - Zulawski certification preferred

+ Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate Degree preferred

Yearly Base Salary: $72,000 - $93,000
