Livestock Nutrition Center specializes in blending customized rations, supplements and premixes to meet the specific nutritional needs of Livestock Producer's operations. We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the Producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Our focus is to provide customized feeding programs, nutritional products, and expert service to livestock producers that promote their long-term success and profitability.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the Procurement Team which purchases all feed ingredients for blended feed needs and ancillary commodity sales. This position will coordinate logistics to keep all facility’s inventories at optimal levels to fulfill our customer’s needs. The Procurement Manager will effectively communicate to keep Management and others up to date on market prices and positions. In addition, the Procurement Manager is responsible for building and retaining a team-oriented Procurement Team.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Fulfill ingredient needs of all Location inventories to ensure all customer needs are met, including ancillary sales.
Actively negotiate with LNC suppliers while maintaining excellent relationships with the supplier base.
Work with Locations to minimize demurrage costs and help identify potential shrink issues.
Manage Procurement Team to perform the same activities listed above.
Provide guidance to Procurement Team and Ingredient Sales Team on position limits and other activities.
Work with the Reseller market to optimize LNC locations and positions.
Inform LNC Team of commodity market events and changes that may have an effect on inventories and financials.
Hire, train and retain all Procurement Team members.
Identify opportunities for mentorship and cross-training, which will lead to the achievement of retention goals for the Procurement Team.
Promote cross-functional teamwork amongst the Procurement Team, and the Sales, Accounting, and Operations teams.
Work with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely information is consistently available.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years’ experience in commodity procurement/merchandising is required.
Must have Grain Hedging knowledge.
Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Must have excellent communication skills and provide superior customer service.
