Summary: The primary purpose of the role is to deliver a well-defined asset management and governance framework, aligned in accordance with corporate strategic objectives. Achieved through the life cycle optimization and best-practice of asset maintenance, operational process control, and defect elimination. Additionally, a key function of this role is to provide specialist capability for the development and delivery of a business intelligence platform, through data management, advanced analytics, and cognitive solutions, underpinned by continuous improvement methodology to facilitate a culture of business valued data-driven decision-making.
Essential Job Functions: Include but are not limited to the following:

Reliability Engineering (enterprise-wide)
Develop and establish a formal platform, in close collaboration with stakeholders, to identify improvement opportunities and formulate action plans to ensure excellence in safety, maintenance, and engineering best-practices is achieved/sustained
Develop, establish, and manage an interactive “Operational Actions” process within a cloud-based accessible reporting system. Emphasis on providing transparency and history of defined site operational actions
Develop, establish, and manage an interactive defect elimination process within a cloud-based accessible reporting system. Emphasis on tracking current and historic asset and operational process capability
Develop and establish an interactive asset audit / status platform to provide visibility and history of assets
Model and determine the effectiveness/compliance of an established asset strategy in line with corporate requirements and industry accepted best-practice, namely:
Asset Commercial profile, plan vs. actual (Expenditure, service life, TCO)
Asset Resource profile, plan vs. actual (Engaged resources including plant, equipment, and personnel)
Asset Operational profile, plan vs. actual (Work Management System compliance and modelled Operational capability)
Asset Maintenance profile, plan vs. actual (Work Management System compliance and modelled Asset life cycle)
Model and monitor the effectiveness of actual asset performance vs. OEM name plate recommendation (i.e., OEE, Rate variation and comparative benchmark evaluation)
Model and monitor the effectiveness of operational process control and resource allocation via the MTBF and MTTR indices
Lead/coach stakeholders on best-practice and sustainable asset and process performance indices profiling (Target / KPI ownership)
Lead/coach stakeholders on best-practice and sustainable asset and process performance defect elimination (Performance / Delay ownership)
Business Intelligence (enterprise-wide)
In collaboration with stakeholders, clearly establish the Process and Asset Value Stream Maps (VSM), delineated by representative block diagrams
In collaboration with stakeholders, clearly define the required business expectation indices/KPI’s for both Process and Asset
Lead stakeholders in data analytics development journey, ensuring the implementation of best-practice to achieve sustained data-driven decision making and critical thinking, within the framework of:
Developing data models, data analytics and visualization statistical tools, to support performance audits, data mining, asset profiling, validation evaluation, ad-hoc performance query, and supporting data applications in defining business forecast objectives
Maintaining a collaborative input affiliation with available data source environment managers, ensuring that the repository structure aligns with the desired model and business requirements
Identifying and communicating potential value adding business critical opportunities, based on standardized/consistent referenced analytics models
Develop and manage the effective implementation of cloud-based process and asset value stream reporting automation within each business unit, and across the wider business
Proactively engage all other aspects of the business function to provide stakeholders a more holistic insight into the organization, e.g. modelling performance in safety, environmental, human resources, sales, etc.
- This role will require campaigns of travel, potentially with long-duration stays (4-6 weeks) at our operations to evaluate, build required systems, and implement required changes.

Demonstrated strengths in statistical modelling and statistical process control
Strong familiarity and with database management
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills required
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to build rapport
Demonstrated proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI
Strengths in failure analysis methods and RCA tools such as 6Sigma, TimeModel, Fishbone, 5Why’s
Strengths in condition-based monitoring systems such as Dingo USA, VBA, Thermography, NDT
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and problem-solve
Ability to quickly grasp functionality of different business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes
Education and/or Experience:
Mandatory BS or equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining
Minimum of Master’s degree in Maintenance Management, Asset Management, or Reliability Engineering
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Maintenance or Asset Management role
Must have experience within the mining industry at both surface and underground operations
Must have previously held role with responsibility in asset/maintenance reliability across multiple operations
