Job Description :

Job SummaryPlans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries. Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management. Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.Install and upgrade Postgres database. Configure databases as per the business needs. Monitor and maintain database health and security. Design backup processes for databases. Establish a disaster recovery protocol. Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution. Create database management procedures. Schedule and perform regular database maintenance. Evaluate data analysis models and procedure. Work closely with App vendor and fine tune the database performance. Partner with application developers in data modeling based on business requirements. Work with Security to document and maintain compliance with existing policies and procedures. Establish performance benchmarks, monitor and analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them. Provide 24x7 on call support.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school

  • Three years data warehouse experience

  • Three years database structure development experience

  • Three years data mining experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than two years of Postgres DBA experience

  • Five or more years of experience working in a DBA capacity.

  • Experience working with Redhat Linux, shell scripting

  • Virtual deployments and security knowledge

  • Wireless Usage processing knowledge is a plus
