Erickson Living Custom Interiors Assistant - Part-Time in Overland Park, Kansas

Tallgrass Creek is a beautiful 65-acre continuing care retirement community located in Overland Park, just minutes from Kansas City and the Kansas and Missouri border. We are hiring a part-time Custom Interiors Assistant to assist our residents as they prepare to move into our community. This role is responsible for helping new residents choose predetermined finishes or upgrades for their new apartment and assists existing residents with upgrades for their apartment home. This position also tracks and reconciles deposits received for this work. There will be opportunities for full-time hours on an as needed basis.

How you will make an impact:

  • Contact future residents to share product knowledge, discuss pricing, and answer process-related questions.

  • Maintain contact with vendors to ensure timely completion of work

  • Log all upgrade deposits and deliver checks to the Finance Department.

  • Process occasional credit card transactions and reconcile to our systems.

  • Update Finance monthly, ensuring that all checks for completed work are applied to that month’s revenue.

  • Ensure all work orders closed and invoices are approved timely.

  • Schedule appointments with incoming residents of newly reserved apartment homes to choose predetermined finish or upgrade selections.

  • Prioritize work in a dynamic environment and develop a highly organized, detail-oriented process; calendar, records, reports, statistics, invoices, etc.

What you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum of 1-year broad customer service experience

  • Sales experience with a focus on Interior Design or Construction is a plus.

  • Senior Living industry experience preferred.
