YRC Freight Credit Analyst II (Hybrid REMOTE) in Overland Park, Kansas

JOB SUMMARY

Develop and utilize tools to proactively identify accounts that pose a Credit Risk in effort to minimize corporate exposure and loss. Conduct research, gather and analyze data findings relative to the company’s overall receivables and individual customer accounts. Actively involve all appropriate levels of account ownership and management as needed for managing and reducing AR exposure for Yellow. Responsible for handling all aspects of credit analysis work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Produce, deliver and actively monitor daily, weekly and period servicing reports in accordance with our bank agreement.

  2. Analyze, create and modify management reports to identify high risk accounts and situations. Report findings promptly and concisely in addition to providing recommendations to leadership at different levels and multiple departments.

  3. Design and maintain programs to support management information needs for evaluating and improving productivity and enhancing capabilities.

  4. Develop and maintain Credit Risk performance measurement reporting tools used for determining effectiveness of credit extension and collection efforts.

  5. Monitor and proactively communicate negative customer risk trends by reporting evidence of financial difficulty or impending bankruptcy. Investigate, report and escalate results to appropriate management and sales personnel.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

  2. Five (5) plus years of credit analysis related experience.

  3. Knowledge of statistical analysis.

  4. Effective/professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  5. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

  6. Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Knowledge of transportation industry.

  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  3. Preferred credit certification(s) in risk, CBA, CFA, and or CRC.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
