Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. 8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. The North America Consulting Infrastructure and Platform Services Practice provides architecture and implementation specialists that deliver professional services that align with and support the North America Sales organization and our customer base through the United States and Canada.
The core IaaS and Infrastructure practice is a deep technical team consisting of highly skilled consultants that provide expert architecture guidance and implementation assistance with Oracle Cloud Services and Oracle Infrastructure technology.

The Cloud Infrastructure Architect is a hands-on role focused on designing and implementing customer solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
This individual has to serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor who facilitates the migration and deployment of workloads from on-premise environments or other 3rd party Clouds, to OCI. He/She will work closely with key customers and provide technical know-how and architectural guidance with sole objective assisting them in getting to production status and realizing the business value of the solution in OCI.
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will manage creation and delivery of technical content, with a dedicated focus on cloud networking topologies, cloud on-premise network integration, cloud VPN configurations, cloud FastConnect (Equinix Cloud Exchange), MPLS, cloud VPC, DNS and Load Balancing configurations for cloud, but also covering cloud deployment models, cloud orchestration, integration, security, virtualization (Xen, OVM, VMWare, HyperV,), PV, HVM, PVHVM, OS in the cloud etc.
In this role one will engage with a wide cross section of internal and external stakeholders Sales, Development, Support, and third party partners to drive cloud adoption efforts. This is exciting work on Oracle Cloud technology with great opportunity for recognition and career growth.
Desired Skills and Experience:
8 years of work experience in any combination of engineering, and consulting in the area of cloud computing with increasing responsibilities and with a special focus on networking.
Strong knowledge of computer networks in the context of cloud environments. Cisco Certifications are desirable. Other networking related certifications are nice to have. Hands-on experience with VPN solutions, IPSec, MPLS, Software Defined Networks, enterprise network equipment like routers, firewalls, switches (Cisco, Juniper and others) are a must.
Knowledge and understanding of aspects cloud computing, hands-on with technologies such as Openstack, Chef / Puppet, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Mezos would be of advantage.
Deep Linux, Networking and Virtualization expertise, Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, JSON.
Hands on skills based on Oracle on-premise products, especially in the area of Oracle Middleware (Weblogic,SOA, BPM) and Oracle Applications, experience in design and implementation of Oracle solutions.
Hands on skills with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or solutions from other providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure etc. would be of advantage, especially in the PaaS and IaaS area.
Analysis of cloud strategies, design and development of tools for Oracle products deployment in OCI.
Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets for Public Cloud technology.
Ability to on-board seed systems onto Public Cloud and provide guidance in the platform evaluation.
B.Tech /M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent work experience
Legally entitled to work in the US
