As the Civil Project Engineer (PE) you are responsible for the timely and accurate completion of assigned civil design projects. You'll assure the client gets the designs and opinions described in the contract between the firm and the client and that the cost of the project shall be within established budgets.

Responsibilities
What you'll be in charge of:
Prepare proposal estimates of time and expense required to complete the project.
May participate in presenting the proposal to the client.
Participate in selecting the project team.
Resolve major project design decisions in conjunction with client and architect, such as setbacks, location of roadways, storm drains, sewer and other utility routes, etc.
Assign duties to project team, answers their questions, and monitors their progress.
Check accuracy of completed work.
Maintain close relationship with client throughout development of project.
May assist client in selecting contractors.
May monitor construction.
Approve change orders.
May be required to collect fees from client.
Manage client relationship after project is completed.
Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
8+ or more years of experience
Must be proficient in computer aided design, knowledge of ArcGIS a plus
Experience in the Development/Public Works/Utilities Industry, Telecom industry a plus
Physical working requirements - Ability to travel, driving personal vehicle including at night. Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Able to walk up stairs. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally
