Zelis Carrier Relations Manager in Overland Park, Kansas
The Carrier Relations Manager position is responsible for successfully managing the Carrier Relations team. Candidate will be responsible assigning project work to members of the team as well as mentoring team members and assisting with questions as they arise. The Carrier Relations Manager will also be responsible providing escalation assistance as it arises. Additional responsibilities include leading and guiding the team in their client communication and support skills, as the team serves as a liaison to ensure client needs are met in an accurate, timely and efficient manner. Candidate must be able to work equally well in both technical and non-technical environments and effectively communicate technical information in a common, non-technical manner. The individual must work well in a fast paced, demanding environment. The ability to efficiently organize and prioritize projects and assignments to meet deadlines is essential to success.
A background in the health care industry (particularly in the realm of provider networks and directories) as well as some basic understanding of database fundamentals is preferred.

Escalation resource for all Team Role responsibilities
Function as an escalation resource for client or carrier issues
Review Root Cause Analysis documents for client issues
Set & drive team goals
Document processes, and fill gaps in existing processes
Take ownership of carrier data use agreement process; work with legal team to ensure agreements are accurate
Work with team to build relationships with carriers. Guide team members to:
Facilitate meetings, internal & external
Manage all communications, internal & external
Track progress of tasks
Manage agreements and document updates
Collaborate with other ZNA teams to document identified gaps or missing process needs, and implement process improvements as needed.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate minimum/Bachelor’s preferred
3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry preferred
A standard work week exists but with the understanding that additional time/effort outside of the usual parameters can/will occur when necessary due to the needs of the team.
A standard business environment exists with moderate video conference calls.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
