Oracle Business Development Product Specialist - DevOps in Overland Park, Kansas
Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

An Oracle Middleware Business Development Manager will perform 4 key functions in the North American Sales organization:
Evangelize the Oracle Middleware Platform internally and externally to build broad awareness of the platform's capabilities and existence. This activity will be completed using various communication platforms including social media, in-person events and speaking engagements, direct field engagement with reps and management, customer outreach and executive briefings.
Enable the North American Sales organization on how to best position and sell Oracle's complete Middleware Platform focusing on customer solutions and outcomes. This will be completed using a variety of tools including, webcasts and in-person seminars, creating and curating enablement materials such as sales decks leave behinds and battle cards, leading from the front with specific customer engagement wins, creation and execution of sales solution campaigns and Sprints as well as regular and frequent field engagement activities.
Partner with Product Management and Marketing to provide timely input for field communications and sales enablement activities in order to provide 360 degree feedback of products and messaging from a field and customer perspective. This will be done both ad-hoc and programmatically using customer and field engagements to regularly report back to the PM team on how the field and customers are succeeding with Middleware solutions as well as which features, messaging or offerings are required to address market demands.
Lead the effort to create cross-pillar, multi-domain, customer focused solutions and workloads that closely align to how our customers buy and address their needs. This will require this person to work collaboratively across the organization, creating partnerships and fostering cooperation among teams that may have competing interests.
Skilled in large enterprise class solutions using Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c technologies to include: Oracle ADF, SOA/BPM, WebCenter Portal, Java, Oracle WebLogic Server and Coherence
Experience with Java , .Net, J2EE Standards and frameworks
Experience with Tools for development such as JDeveloper and Eclipse
Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to interact professionally with clients, teammates, and senior level executives
Outstanding customer service with attention to detail and effective follow-through
Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate and work well with others.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently, follow directions, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and willingness to travel is a must
