Join our dynamic team as the Engineering Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this role, you will lead a talented group of engineers and technicians to deliver cutting-edge projects in the BESS domain. You'll be responsible for overseeing the execution of engineering design, procurement, and construction specifications across a range of BESS initiatives. Additionally, you'll play a key role in client interactions, business development, and proposal activities.

responsibilities:
Project Execution: Lead the coordination and management of budget, schedule, and quality requirements for diverse projects. Ensure effective communication with clients and project teams, addressing client interests and driving successful project outcomes.
Business Development Support: Contribute to business development efforts by providing technical expertise, engaging with clients, and identifying growth opportunities.
Travel and Collaboration: Occasionally travel to field assignments and engage in meetings with clients and partner organizations to facilitate project progress and collaboration.
Change Management: Manage project changes directly with clients, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure seamless execution.
Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, battery storage layout optimization, and major equipment to deliver high-quality engineering deliverables.
Procurement and Contract Administration: Possess working knowledge of procurement processes and contract administration to support project activities.
Leadership and Mentoring: Provide guidance and direction to direct reports, contributing to their professional development and assisting with the performance management process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in managing Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) or design services for battery storage (BESS) projects.
Minimum 5 years of experience in battery storage (BESS) design, demonstrating expertise in layout optimization and major equipment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to cultivate client relationships.
Knowledge of engineering design principles, relevant design guides, and applicable standards.
Intermediate understanding of civil/structural and electrical/controls aspects.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering deliverables and familiarity with testing and commissioning plans and procedures.
Working knowledge of procurement and contract administration, as well as the proposal process.
P.E. License highly preferred.
