Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Aviation Project Manager who has a desire to contribute to our clients’ success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of our Des Moines, IA location. Overcrowding, safety, and aging infrastructure – these are all challenges faced by nearly every community today. As a member of the Foth Infrastructure engineering team, you will help clients meet these challenges while minimizing impacts to the community and the environment. From airports to utilities, roads, and bridges, you will be a part of providing effective solutions that are cost-conscious and practical.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical engineering and project management skills as a lead engineer for our aviation engineering projects

  • Serve as client contact on complex, multi-disciplined aviation projects

  • Attend client meetings, participate in proposals/presentations, manage projects, attend trade shows, meet with regulatory agencies

  • Develop scope, schedule, and budget for multi-discipline aviation projects

  • Assist the aviation program with sales and marketing efforts

  • Complete aviation designs which may include runway, taxiway, terminal, public traffic, runway lighting or other related areas

  • Complete technical reports, feasibility studies, and designs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Registered Professional Engineer

  • 5 years of project design experience with aviation projects

  • Previous experience with the following:

  • Overseeing and completing technical reports/feasibility studies and design projects

  • Developing scope, schedule and budget for aviation projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with FAA and airport standard specifications

  • Proven record of client retention and maintenance

  • Previous business/client development experience

  • Ability to leverage sales from existing relationships

  • Strong understanding of the consulting engineering business
