BHC RHODES Accounting Specialist in Overland Park, Kansas


The Accounting Specialist works within the accounting team to provide support for managing financial accounts by performing accounts payable and receivable functions, payroll processing, and will help maintaining various databases and reports, and coordinating timesheets and expense reports.


The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, communicate effectively with management, and be a self-starter. Basic responsibilities are:

  • Payroll

  • Cash Receipts

  • Timesheets

  • Expense Reports

  • Certificate of Insurance Maintenance

  • Monthly Client Statements

  • Petty Cash/Bank Reconciliations

  • AP Backup

  • Invoicing Backup

  • Collection Report & Related Support

  • Fixed Assets Maintenance & Depreciation

  • Audits - Project Specific

  • Surveys of Financial Data - Various sources


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/related field

  • 2 years of Accounting experience preferred

  • Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint experience preferred

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)

  • Paycom experience a plus
