BHC RHODES Accounting Specialist in Overland Park, Kansas

Overview

The Accounting Specialist role will work closely with the rest of the accounting team and provide support in a variety of roles with cross-training provided. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their field, detail-oriented, and communicates effectively. Responsibilities

  • Time & Expense

  • Payroll processing

  • Managing cash receipts

  • Processing and depositing checks and EFT payments

  • Collection Report & Related Support

  • Certificates of Insurance – tracking and processing

  • Monthly Client Statements

  • Petty Cash/Bank Reconciliations

  • Surveys of Financial Data - Various sources

  • Be cross-trained to serve as backup in a number of areas including: AP Vouchers, credit card management, monthly use tax reporting, inventory, Vision support/training, month end, open enrollment, and year-end process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

  • Minimum of five years of Accounting experience

  • Deltek Vision experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)

  • Reliable

  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
