This position will be located in Kansas City, MO


  • Performs financial/accounting services primarily supporting A/R and standard cost in a manufacturing environment

  • Processes accounting documents from various sources in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures

  • Prepares and submits assigned journal entries and account reconciliations and maintain working papers required to record accounting activities

  • Maintains subsidiary ledgers to support accounting control data and reconciles account balances

  • Compiles data for periodic accounting reports for distribution

  • Develops data to be used in determining cost variances

  • Analyze variances, prepare explanations and investigate significant variances and account balances

  • Analyzes data to identify recurring problems; Investigates problems and recommends corrective action

  • Analyzes and interprets accounting data and presents conclusions to management

  • Assists in training of personnel in various accounting activities

  • Assists in the development of detailed procedures and work instructions

  • Drives process improvements

  • May perform other duties as required

  • Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to ""stop"" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified.     You Must Have:

  • U.S. citizenship in order to obtain and maintain U.S. Department of Energy ""Q"" level security clearance

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field at an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years of Accounting experience; or a minimum of four years Honeywell Finance experience or Finance/Accounting experience without a degree

  • Advanced level of proficiency applying advanced principles, theories and concepts

  • Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts
