Job Summary: This is advanced technical work advising and assisting computer users in solving problems in a distributed computing environment. Work includes installation of hardware and software, troubleshooting, configuring client server-based application software for LAN, server hardware, operating systems and application systems in a WAN environment.


Job Description: This position is responsible for managing and maintaining software deployment through automated tools such as disk imaging and SCCM. Also responsible for building task sequences and software deployments to keep the hospital with current operating systems and software packages. Furthermore, the position will track hardware and software inventory through SCCM or other resources as designated by IT Manager or Appointing Authority. This position is responsible for assisting users with computer, printer, or other peripheral support. Position will support all software applications the facility utilizes whether it is a purchased package or locally developed applications. Position will work alongside on-site developers when issues are vague in scope to diagnose and repair or escalate issues. Position will track frequent hardware or software problems and make IT Manager aware so long term solutions can be identified. This position will be responsible for performing Active Directory account management for the facility. Position should be able to create new accounts, manage access for existing accounts, and close existing accounts in accordance with HS-EBIT account management practices. Position understands priority of work that should be completed to keep facility operational and keep projects completed on schedule. Employee will assist IT peers in all aspects as time is available or directed by IT Manager or appointing authority. This position will complete formal training to enhance their current skillsets and build new skills as required by IT Manager or Appointing Authority. Informal training will also take place by working alongside IT Manager or IT peers through project completion or independent research. Perform and carry out other duties as assigned and directed by the Information Technology Manager, Appointing Authority or other designated Manager. Position also is part of facility 24x7 on-call rotation for IT issues
