Garmin Strategic Sourcing Global Analyst in Olathe, Kansas

If you have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes, then prepare your resume and get it submitted – we have to get to work.\n\nIn this role, your key essential functions will be:\n\n\n\tDevelop and track cost savings initiatives for implementation and financial impact.\n\tCollect, consolidate and organize spend data from global locations.\n\tConduct price and cost analyses on sources for new commodities, and indirect components and services.\n\tMonitor new supplier launches, PPV and expected costs. Provide feedback to Sourcing on variances. \n\tAssist managers in setting and tracking cost reduction efforts and initiate reporting.\n\tWork with Engineering on Product in Development (PID) projects in order to develop Cost Sets from global sources\n\tInterface with cost accounting to ensure data integrity related to standard and frozen costs \n\tSupply ad hoc reports as required in support of departmental projects.\n\tIdentify and monitor market indicators for key commodities (ie: steel, resin, memory) to ensure pricing levels are consistent with market forces.\n\tProject management responsibility for productivity initiatives within department and supply base (ex. EDI, iSupplier, schedule share, “digitization” efforts)\n\tMonitor key supplier metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service) for all global locations and identify areas where supplier development is required.\n\tAssist sourcing managers in development and monitoring of supplier performance improvement plans\n\tEnsure maintenance to supplier contract obligations (ie: rebates, volume reductions)\n\tSupport Corporate reporting requirements\n\n\nOther responsibilities:\n\n\n\tAssist in contract negotiation activities with supporting data/market analysis as requested by sourcing managers.\n\tPerform other job-related duties as assigned\n\n\nDue to the amount of resources and expense exhausted in training for this position, a minimum of one year from the start of this position will be required before an associate is eligible for a job transfer. \nQualified candidates will possess the following education, experience and skills: \n\n\n\tBachelor of Science in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred or related degree\n\tAbility to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines\n\tKnowledgeable of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII)/Master Production Schedule (MPS) process\n\tMust have a high level of interpersonal, analytical and communication skills to work across functional and organizational lines\n\tStrong knowledge of manufacturing requirements\n\n\nDesirable qualifications:\n\n\n\t7+ years experience in purchasing/sourcing\n\tUnderstanding of database management and Oracle database tools\n\n\nOur benefits, designed to lead an evolving marketplace, support innovation and encourage a healthy balance between work and life, keep us competitive and allow our associates to make their own decisions about their well-being and future.
