Terracon Senior Payroll Coordinator in Olathe, Kansas
Performs variety of payroll activities including entering, reviewing, processing, auditing, and reporting of payroll information. Understands the payroll system and brings issues to the attention of the Payroll Supervisor for assistance and further evaluation. Also responsible for providing customer service to employees, office staff and management for payroll related items.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
With limited supervision, responsible for supporting the bi-weekly payroll process including:
Processing wage supports and garnishments.
Uploading and balancing multiple batches into payroll system.
Prepare and analyze pre and post payroll auditing reports.
Process 401K data related to payroll.
Provide customer service to employees and troubleshooting issues.
Develop and revise ad hoc reports as needed.
Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
Prepare report information as required by clients and/or governments such as OCIP reporting
Work with Cash management team to reconcile payroll to GL, bank and payroll system.
Assist with processing year-end bonus and adjustment runs.
Be a resource for less experienced personnel within the department which may include answering questions, assisting with duties and providing training.
May serve in a backup capacity during the absence of the supervisor.
Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 7 years’ related experience.
Strong knowledge of payroll practices
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong accuracy with data entry
Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
Advanced knowledge of Excel and general computer skills
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Experience with ADP Vantage.
