Position Description: The Home Healthcare Documentation RN ensures quality patient care and regulatory compliance by providing education to home health staff and ongoing documentation review. He/she promotes continuity through communication among clinicians of the patient's plan, condition and progress toward outcomes. He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures.
Position Requirements: Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required 4 Year / Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience: 1 - 3 Years (1-2 years Maternal/Child, Medical-Surgical nursing, or Home Health nursing required) 1 - 3 Years Documentation Review Specialist or similar quality review specialty preferred
Knowledge, Skills: Analytical, Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Customer Relations, Organizational and Verbal Communication skills, Computer Systems and Previous experience with computerized clinical documentation required
Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize preferred
License, Registration and/or Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact - Required upon hire Healthcare Provider CPR – (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) - Required within 7 days from date of hire Medical-surgical Nursing Certification (Adult RN) preferred OASIS-C Certification preferred
