In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and implementing basic quality tools and methods. Other essential functions include: \n\n\n\n\t\n\tUnderstands and implements basic quality tools and methods\n\t\n\t\n\tUnderstands and contributes to ECO implementation\n\t\n\t\n\tParticipates in design reviews with Senior Quality Engineers\n\t\n\t\n\tDemonstrates ability to complete well defined basic tasks and/or projects\n\t\n\t\n\tIdentifies and resolves defects of basic scope using proper engineering tools and techniques\n\t\n\t\n\tLearns how to use and apply engineering tools relevant for performing the essential functions of this job description \n\t\n\t\n\tCommunicates status of work clearly providing visibility to supervisor or mentor \n\t\n\t\n\tMay be responsible for planning own technical work \n\t\n\t\n\tThoroughly documents work in an organized manner\n\t\n\t\n\tWorks collaboratively and professionally in a team environment and shares information and ideas freely with other Garmin associates to achieve goals \n\t\n\t\n\tAccepts and acts on constructive criticism\n\t\n\n\n\n \n\nAwareness of IATF 16949/VDA, AS 9100, APQP is highly preferred\n\n Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor of Science in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or another related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other requirements include: \n\n\n\t\n\tOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge\n\t\n\t\n\tDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\n\t\n\t\n\tDemonstrated capability for applying industry standards and procedures to develop, implement, and document operational processes\n\t\n\t\n\tAbility to learn how to use and apply engineering tools\n\t\n\t\n\tMust demonstrate the capability to perform basic troubleshooting & debugging \n\t\n\t\n\tDemonstrates understanding of lean tools and methods\n\t\n\n\nOur benefits are designed to lead an evolving marketplace, support innovation and encourage a healthy balance between work and life.
