Orizon Aerostructures Production Tech in Olathe, Kansas
Summary: Under close supervision from a Production Supervisor or designate, perform a variety production-related work with the objective of gaining skills needed to become a Machine Operator.
Assist Machinists and Machine Operators to machine a quality part and meet Production’s objectives.
Perform assigned production and production-related tasks. These include, but are not limited to:
Reading the Dispatch List and following priorities
Setting up fixtures per Setup Books
Loading parts in fixtures
Performing visual inspections and measuring attributes
Completing inspection records and Production paperwork
Operating a forklift
Dumping chip bins
Performing equipment safety inspections
Performing Production related Preventive Maintenance activities
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Successfully complete all assigned training courses.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
One-year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Good mechanical aptitude and math skills.
Willingness to learn and immediately put newly attained skills to use.
Able to take constructive criticism and incorporate feedback in a positive manner.
Safety conscious and able to make safe decisions.
Must have excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills and can provide written and verbal instructions and present information clearly.
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands, with the ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Must have the ability and willingness to work extended hours and overtime, including weekends, as required by the work schedule and production needs.
