We are proud to offer you the opportunity to pursue your passion as a Physical Therapist partnering on our Hospital in Your Home Program with a prestigious local hospital in our community! The Hospital in Your Home experience is designed to provide hospital level care in a patient’s home environment. This allows for deeper engagement between the clinical team and the patients, a consistent care team through phases of care, address goals of care and underlying social determinants of health and care that is designed and centered around the needs and wants of the patient. This is an experience we strongly believe in, and one that aligns with our own mission, vision, and values. While being admitted to their home, a patient may expect visits from Registered Nurses, Caregivers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietary Specialists, Meal delivery services, Mental Health Specialists, Phlebotomists, Sonographers, Paramedics, Nurse Practitioners, and other healthcare providers. We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) who equally supports this experience and is enthusiastic about replicating the capabilities of a brick-and-mortar hospital with in-home services. The shifts are currently offered on a PRN basis, as the program continues to grow we plan to evaluate the need to offer a full-time or part-time position. Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities: * Evaluations patient's need for ongoing occupational therapy * Provides physician prescribed occupational therapy * Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient * Returns the individual to optimum and productive level within the patient’s capabilities * Participates with all other Hospital in Your Home personnel in patient care planning * Performs all skilled procedures as ordered by physician * Consults with physicians regarding change in treatment via telecommunication * Prepares clinical and progress notes and turns notes in within 1 hours of completed visit to BrightStar Care office Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements: * Graduatefrom an accredited occupational therapy program and pass the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) exam. * Currently licensed in the state of Missouri * Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment * Reliable car and auto insurance * Valid Driver's License * Current CPR Certification (BLS- Red Cross or American Heart Association) we offer a class at a reduced cost if you need your BLS * Negative TB test within last year * Clean background and criminal record * Laptop or Tablet that can be used in patient's home for charting purposes * COVID Vaccinated * Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations * Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality This is a PRN schedule but we ask that you have one weekend a month to be available for the Hospital in Your Home Visits.
