Olathe Medical Center, Inc, a 300-bed general acute care facility, is currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabiliation Services team.
POSITION SUMMARY: The inpatient Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements specific treatment programs for individual inpatients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric according to the principles and practices of Occupational Therapy. The Occupational Therapist collaborates with the members of the interdisciplinary care team regarding treatment and discharge planning; prepares written documentation pertaining to patient evaluation, treatment, education, and discharge planning; schedules patient treatments and meetings; supervises the work of Rehabilitation Aides, Student Occupational Therapists, and Student Occupational Therapist Assistants; assists in preparing and conducting inservice training and continuing education programs; assists in the orientation and competency assessment of Occupational Therapists; may participate in Performance Improvement activities and processes.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: 4 Year / Bachelor Degree from accredited OT Education Program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Previous Healthcare Experience Preferred LICENSE, REGISTRATION &/or CERTIFICATION: Occupational Therapist license in the state of Kansas required upon hireHealthcare Provider CPR – (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) required within 7 days from date of hire
SKILLS: Organizational Verbal Communication Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) preferred Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize preferred Computer Systems (e.g., EMR) preferred
