Our Mobile Development Team is looking for a full-time Mobile Software Engineer 2 - Android to work at our Headquarters in Olathe, KS. Essential functions include: \n\n\n\tUtilize software development tools and Instruments to develop, test, debug, and deploy quality software\n\tUtilize tools such as Git and Bitbucket in the software development process\n\tCreate and executes designs for software components within a larger project\n\tMay perform as a technical leader or Lead Software Engineer for derivative software project\n\tCollaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions\n\tProvide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques\n\tPerform technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems\n\tServe as a mentor to less experienced software engineers (Software Engineer 1)\n\tEstimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes\n Bachelor of Science degree OR Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering Aerospace Engineering, Math or Physics or a technical field (such as CIS or IT) relevant to the essential functions of this job description from a four-year college or university OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Other qualifications include:\n\n\n\tMust possess a minimum 1 year of work experience\n\tOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) \n\tDemonstrates proficient knowledge and utilization of engineering tools necessary for successful performance of the essential functions of this job description \n\tExperience with Kotlin, Java and Android Studio\n\n\n \n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
