This includes the implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques in a meaningful and practical way. This will include the development and training of standardized operating procedures for each assembly process.Responsibilities: Creation of production planning as assigned on new programs including but not limited to BOM's, ERP Routings, and Work Instructions.Determine tooling requirements (Assembly Fixtures and Hand Tools) associated with new program startup with support from Program Manager and Production Supervisor.Manage internal and external revision changes associated with assigned programs.Maintain engineering documentation in accordance with internal and external requirements within the ERP system and local file server.Engage Production Supervisors and employees in developing lean manufacturing techniques which will lead to cost reduction and improved efficiency.Investigate operational problems affecting production and develop sound corrective actions with support from Quality.Provide training/certification requirements associated with new programs and/or Customers to ensure all requirements will be met.Utilize Onboarding tool to manage new program priorities and assigned tasks. Qualifications:Must have: Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field and/or relevant-related work experience.Must be: Self-Motivated individualLean training and/or experienceStrong mechanical aptitudeAbility to identify problems and execute solutionsExperience with Routers, B.O.M.s, Work Instruction, and Manufacturing Process Definition Creation1-5 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentProficient with MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerpointExperience with CATIA and/or AutoCAD 3DProject management experienceExperience with PFMEA and Root Cause AnalysisMust currently live or be willing to relocate to within a 30 mile radius of this facility QualificationsEducationRequiredBachelors or better in Engineering or related field.ExperienceRequired3 years: 3 years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
