Robert Half is working with a thriving company to find a skilled Financial Analyst with experience in M& A and valuation activities. Duties will consist of financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Other important responsibilities will consist of advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. This role via Robert Half provides an exciting opportunity to perform in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management with fellow colleagues. The Financial Analyst role is a permanent employment opportunity in the downtown KC area.

Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Track monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources
Produce and manage forecasting reports
Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
Drive Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Requirements - Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)
Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Solid understanding of Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)
1+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
