Good Shepherd Hospice LPNs - On Call Weekends / FT, PT and PRN - Olathe Area / Hospice in Olathe, Kansas

Our Mission....serving people with compassion and dignity. Seeking experienced LPNs for FT, PT or PRN weekend On Call in the Olathe area. The On Call LPN assists with the after hours nursing needs of our patients and families by responding to phone calls promptly and appropriately and making patient visits as necessary

Various shifts available-

  1. Full-time position options: 12 hour shifts / Friday through Sunday /8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am

FT Benefits: *5 weeks paid vacation time per year based on accrued hours

Responsibilities • Returning phone calls promptly • Carrying out physician orders under the supervision of an RN • Informing the physician of changes in the patient’s condition and needs • Communicating with medical professionals, the hospice team and others • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records • Providing services in accordance with agency policies and regulations that define scope of practice • Participating in in-service programs • Demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills

Requirements • Graduate of an accredited LPN program • Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse • Minimum one year of hospice experience preferred (or previous experience in home health, geriatrics or general medical/surgical nursing required) • Strong organizational and self-management skills • Valid driver’s license • Can successfully pass background checks
