Garmin Global Supply Chain Planner in Olathe, Kansas

If you’re ready to work – and have fun, too – come, help us put the pieces together!\n\n \n\nWe are seeking a full-time Material Planner / Global Supply Chain Planner for our world headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role, you will be responsible for proficiently applying basic to intermediate knowledge and understanding of MRP, ERP, Inventory & Forecast Planning, Logistics and Distribution, ECOs and product lifecycle transitions in performance of demand planning tasks and/or projects. Other essential functions include: \n\n\n \n\n\n\t\n\tAssists in the management of at-risk inventory across manufacturing facilities.\n\t\n\t\n\tPoint of contact in regards for shared organization constrained component allocation coordination.\n\t\n\t\n\tMaintain metrics that reflect component inventory status including usage trends and component availability that align with company directives. \n\t\n\t\n\tCommon component inventory leveling across manufacturing sites. \n\t\n\t\n\tAssist with the coordination of changes to the Manufacturing Bills of Material as specified within approved Engineering Change documents.\n\t\n\t\n\tMaintain tools that project potential component shortages or excess and formulate plans to mitigate issues.\n\t\n\t\n\tAbility to clearly communicate complex data in an easy-to-understand format. \n\t\n\t\n\tOperations contact for issues related to component compliance adherence or changes in regulation. \n\t\n\t\n\tExecute quarterly and annual inventory reporting to ensure inventory targets are in alignment with company goals and directives.\n\t\n\t\n\tEnsure consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.\n\t\n\t\n\tDemonstrates a sense of urgency, ownership, commitment and focus on the appropriate priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion\n\t\n\n Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s Degree OR Associates Degree from a two year college or university AND 3 years’ experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description OR, High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 5 years’ experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description OR High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 3 years’ experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description and management approved supply chain certificate Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
