rAbout This Role:

The Catalyst Center for Technology and Media Services in the College of Education is seeking applicants for the position of Communications and Marketing Specialist with a background in marketing. The Marketing Specialist position is to be responsible for directing, planning, and implementing the College of Education branding, advertising, and promotion strategies, both internally and externally. They will proactively work to identify current and new communication and marketing opportunities. Working closely with academic chairs and program coordinators in designing and managing promotional campaigns using innovative marketing strategies, through various marketing media and technologies. Track, analyze and report accumulated market research data to ensure budgeted advertising resources are efficiently and effectively used, recommending needed changes if necessary. Assist and support other areas and activities with-in the College such as departments and centers, that need marketing services. Working closely with the Dean of Education to promote and advance the mission of the College through marketing and communications services, supporting the advancement goals of the College of Education and its mission. The Marketing Specialist will also work with the Division of Communications and Marketing to ensure compliance of K-State guidelines.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:





+ Bachelor's degree. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.





Preferred Qualifications:





+ Bachelor's degree in one of these fields; Marketing, Advertising, Mass Media, or Business.



+ 2 to 3 years of professional experience in Marketing.



+ Excellent verbal communication skills.



+ Ability to work independently as well as the ability to collaborate ith others.



+ Ability to work with diverse populations.



+ Experience developing and implementing communications/marketing strategies and plans.



+ Demonstrated marketing experience.



+ Documented innovation and idea creation.



+ Demonstrated leadership ability.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$39,780 - $55,000
