Garmin C#.net Software Engineer 2 (Full-Stack) in Olathe, Kansas

We are seeking a full-time C#.net Software Engineer 2 for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area on our Engineering Business Solutions team. This team is responsible for full-stack development of internal tools and web applications that support product R&D, has visibility to all the segments in the company and has a hand in the success of almost every Garmin product that goes out the door. In this role, you will be responsible for developing moderately complex software and creating and executing designs for small sets of new functionalities for Garmin products and/or applications.\n\nEssential Functions \n\n\n\tCreates and executes designs for small sets of new functionalities as part of a software project using C#, ASP.net, MVC, JQuery and Javascript and SQL\n\tUtilizes software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process\n\tCollaborates and adds value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions \n\tProvides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques \n\tPerforms technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems \n Basic Qualifications \n\n\n\tBachelor’s Degree OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience \n\tDemonstrated proficiency and experience necessary to develop moderately complex software in C#, Javascript, JQuery and HTML\n\tProficiency using SQL and relational database design\n\tExperience with MS Visual Studio\n\tKnowledge and experience with version control\n\tExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)\n\n\nDesired Qualifications \n\n\n\tOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)\n\tExperience with Knockout Library\n\tExperience with ASP.net and MVC, Bootstrap, Jenkins, and GIT\n\n\nGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
