Position Description: Provides vision and leadership in the selection, development and implementation of the Olathe Health System and related corporations information technology solutions. Determines, formulates, develops and deploys advanced integration technology strategies that optimize the business process of Olathe Health System, to ultimately provide a seamless, patient-centered, integrated continuum of healthcare services. Accountable for directing and managing the information and data integrity of Olathe Health System Inc. and its affiliates and for all Information Technology functions of the enterprise. The CIO reviews all computerized and manual systems; information processing equipment and software for acquisition, storage and retrieval; and definition of the strategic direction of all information processing and communication systems and operations. The CIO provides overall management and definition of all computer and communication activities within the enterprise including responsibility for providing a leadership role in the data to day operations of the Information Technology functions as well as providing direction as the enterprise grows through internal growth and external acquisition. Leads I/T planning and strategy development, with emphasis on creating added value through the current and future roles of information technology in the operation of the enterprise. Determines short, intermediate, and long-term organization-wide information needs; develops and leads decision making process, execution of acquisition, implementation and maintenance strategies, and tactics in support of these identified needs. Partners with departments and system organizations to determine and apply highly effective information systems approaches.

Position Requirements: Education: 4 year/ Bachelors degree required; Graduate degree preferred

Experience: 10+ years experience required; 5 or more years experience in and executive role in Information Management Leadership or CIO preferred

Knowledge, Skills: Candidate must have strong knowledge in Cerner, Lawson, HIS Implementation and CPOE Candidate must have strong analytical and organizational skills; strong budgetary & fiscal managment skills; strong verbal & written communication skills; strong management skills
