Olathe Health is growing, and we are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our system in our Urgent Care clinics! This PRN position will work as needed to meet the needs and schedule of the clinics it serves.

APP (PA or APRN) for Urgent Care Clinic
Advanced Practice Providers include certified Physician Assistants (PA) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN). These providers will work collaboratively with sponsoring and/or supervising physicians to evaluate, diagnosis, and treat patients using evidence-based medicine to support their medical decision making. In an Olathe Health Urgent Care Clinic, the APP practice model includes providing care for low, mid, and high acuity urgent care same-day walk-in patients of all ages with various acute and chronic health concerns.
Education: Graduate Degree NP or APRN degree, or degree in PA studies
Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize - Be able to manage all acuity level patients in a busy urgent care setting. Computer Systems (specify) - Be comfortable using EMR/EHR, Kronos, Excel, Outlook Customer Relations - Create a positive patient-centered approach to providing medical care. Grammar/Spelling - Appropriate use of grammar and accurate spelling are essential for provider documentation. Medical Terminology - Accurate use of medical terminology is essential for provider care and documentation. Organizational - Participate and engage with the organizational committees to foster continually growth for Olathe Health. Verbal Communication - Develop effective communication with patients to ensure the best medical care. Develop strong collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, and all other staff to ensure best work environment for all. Other - Demonstrate exceptional patient triage, assessment, and medical decision making skills for all level of acuity urgent care patients.
License, Registration and/or Certification:
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or APRN or PA by the State of Kansas. Advance Practice Registered Nurses or PA providers must also meet Medicare’s qualification definition which requires certification by recognized national certifying bodies for either NPs or PA at the advanced practice level - Upon Hire Healthcare Provider CPR – (American Heart Association ONLY) ACLS Preferred Upon Hire
