Honeywell Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II in Olathe, Kansas

The position requires a breadth of technical experience across multiple programs and products, both electrical and mechanical, working directly with suppliers daily, influencing/working closely with the sourcing commodity leadership teams, Quality and NPD. The successful candidate should be able to communicate with senior management effectively, have a big-picture strategic mindset, handle multiple priorities, influence, and solve complex problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Drive critical decisions in deployment of production processes

•Deploy new production equipment

•Responsible for qualification and release products into production

•Support in the planning and execution of project plans and design reviews; involvement in production release of modified or new product documentation

•Develop processes and procedures achieve critical quality certifications

•Support the manufacturing of complex parts and sub-assemblies by providing technical expertise and support for the factory

•Review manufacturing processes to ensure they will yield parts compliant with engineering drawings and specifications.

•Create and participate in PFMEA activities, Work Instruction Deployment, and Control Plan Deployment

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

YOU MUST HAVE

•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

•2+ years combined of Manufacturing Engineering experience

•Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

•Experience with project management and Kaizen facilitation.

WE VALUE

•Able to read technical drawings and documentation (Electronics)

•Knowledge of using Six sigma/quality Tools and APQP (PFMEA, Control plan, SPC MSA, etc.)

•Pick and place machine programming experience

•Defining parameters and programming screen printers

•AOI/AXI Experience

•Knowledge of conformal coating process

•Experience with modern circuit card production equipment
