Robert Half is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist to become an essential part of an industry leading client with a GREAT culture. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving Accounts Payable issues, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to General Leger, and processing checks and expense reports. What you get to do every day
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Complete full-cycle Accounts Payable
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Provide administrative assistance to the Accounts Payable/Finance Department
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Requirements
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
5+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable role preferred
Manage Vendor Relationships experience highly desired
Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation
Account reconciliation experience
Purchase Orders experience preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
