Primary responsibilities for Quality Inspectors include:
Inspects and approves by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
Select samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications)
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in company training and external quality training as requested.
Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Assist as required to establish quality standards for products.
Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations and products meet design and specification standards
Using inspection tools such as micrometer, calipers, optical comparator, various gauges to measure products
Use automated systems to prepare samples for metallurgical tests.
Maintain records of testing.
Prepare and submit reports to the quality supervisor or director.
