OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this position is to assure quality product through correct product formulation and container compatibility.
Provides assistance to chemist and/or Chief Operating Officer in batch processing, product testing, maintaining records, maintaining a clean work area, product formulation, assisting with hazardous waste program, preparing shipments of hazardous waste, assisting with batch processing and quality control as needed.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Formulates all new product samples sent to potential customers; maintains file on each.
2. Performs new product analysis including valve identification or selection, formulation adjustment, can and valve compatibility studies.
3. Maintains current file of all SDS including products produced at or chemicals received at Airosol Company, Inc.
4. Maintains samples of all blended and bulk chemicals.
5. Prepares hazardous waste shipments and manifest to comply with applicable regulations. Inspects hazardous waste containers on a weekly basis.
6. Assists with QC and batch processing as needed.
7. Attends training such as RCRA, OSHA or other training as deemed necessary by the Company or required by law.
8. Performs all other duties as may be required by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to bend and stoop, to lift frequently weights up to fifty pounds and to work in elements of heat and cold. May be required to wear a respirator.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Training will be provided.
