Role Summary/Purpose:

As a member of the Agile Transformation Office, the VP, Agile Coach’s primary responsibility will be to provide coaching to selected digital product teams adopting new ways of working and provide insights that drive continuous improvement to promote Agile adoption and transformation. The VP, Agile Coach will provide ongoing coaching support to Agile teams.  The role will partner closely with the Office of Agile and across Technology to promote Agile adoption and transformation.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Providecoaching and mentoring services to Agile teams

  • Orient new teams by conducting “Introduction to Agile” Coaching sessions

  • Act as a mentor and coachScrum Masters,Product Owners,Development, Test and Assurance Team members. 

  • Directly influence leadership (up to executive levels) and their teams throughout to drive adoption of Agile methods

  • Provide coaching to Product Owners on scrum teams, specifically on practices such as defining features, authoring user stories, acceptance criteria, user acceptance testing, sprint planning and release planning,etc.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor agile related countermeasures to increase enterprise agile maturity and drive agile adoption

  • Assist and provide guidance to Scrum Masters to ensure that Scrum practices are being followed

  • Periodically facilitate a Product Backlog Grooming session for individual teams

  • Assist in conducting Sprint and Release Retrospectives for Agile program teams and facilitate suggestions for improvement.

  • Assist Agile teams with Release Planning events and coordination with non-Agile teams

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum7years of information technology experience or, in lieu of aBachelorDegree, a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 9 years of Information Technology and Agile project or program management

  • Minimum of 2 years of Agile experience that can include:  Scrum Master and/or Coaching roles

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with configuration and administration of Atlassian products such as:  JIRA, Confluence, Stash, and/or Bamboo.

  • Minimum of 1 Agile certification such as:  ScrumMaster, Agile Practitioner (ACP), orSAFeAgilist

Desired Characteristics:

  • Formal Atlassian vendor training and certification (Atlassian Certified Professional - ACP)

  • Experience implementing and supporting Jira Portfolio across an enterprise-wide scope

  • Experience installing and configuring add-ons and plug-ins for Atlassian Products

  • Experience providing technical administration of enterprise software, including writing scripts or light programming such as with VB macros,javascript, orobject orientedobject-orientedprogramming

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, TDD, XP) and frameworks (e.g., Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe))

  • Experience working with Agile Project Teams, Scrum Teams,Kanbanteams, and Product Teams

  • Experience coaching agile teams that are dispersed globally

  • Experience coaching leadership on agile mindset to enable agile culture

  • Strong Virtual meeting facilitation, interpersonal communication, training, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Experience designing and implementing scrum of scrums for global products with regionaldelivery

  • Excellent analytical skills – ability to follow issues through resolution

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts at any given time through effective time-management and planning

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time zones

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization

  • Strong facilitation, conflict-resolutions skills and the ability to work in collaborative environments

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
