Pfizer Sr. Manager Visual Inspection in McPherson, Kansas

ROLE SUMMARY

  • This position will be required to lead the Pfizer McPherson sterile drug product inspection team in a cGMP compliant environment. The leader will be responsible for Visual Inspection Training and Visual Inspection Operations across manual, semi-automated and automated visual inspection lines running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • SR. Manager Visual Inspection will ensure that there is a safe working environment for visual inspection training and inspection operations. The incumbent will ensure that all tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable guidelines and policies, and in conformance with appropriate standards, such as FDAand EMA current Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA, ISO and other regulatory agency standards and requirements applicable to a pharmaceutical production facility.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage performance of Inspection team; provide leadership and guidance to team and staff to execute plans desired to consistently achieve unit deliverables related to all of the mission elements.

  • Supports all aspects of direct report development including Career Development, Performance Management, Training, Business unit Goals and Objectives, as well as supporting and demonstrating all of the Pfizer Leader Behaviors.

  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret, relate and compare information from multiple sources and identify complex cause and effect relationships.

  • Benchmarking and trend analysis are integral to work assigned. Resolves conflicts. Able to personally adapt and successfully adjust personal and work unit priorities in response to a variety of situations (involving business changes and people issues). QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent

  • 10 years of directly related experience and at least 5 years in a Visual Inspection Environment

  • 5+ years of experience leading direct reports

  • Experience in the manufacture of parenteral liquid drug products, or labeling and packaging

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated innovation and continuous improvement of work processes and deliverables

  • Proven track record of delivering results consistently while being a role model for the Pfizer Leader Behaviors.
