Pfizer Sr. Manager, Packaging in McPherson, Kansas
This position will be required to lead the Pfizer McPherson sterile drug product packaging operations team in a cGMP compliant environment. The leader will be responsible for Labelling and Secondary Packaging Operations covering 14 packaging lines for vials, syringes and ampoules.
SR. Manager Packaging will ensure that there is a safe working environment for all labelling and packaging operations. The incumbent will ensure that all tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable guidelines and policies, and in conformance with appropriate standards, such as FDA's & EMA current Good Manufacturing Practices , OSHA, ISO and other regulatory agency standards and requirements applicable to a pharmaceutical production facility.
Supports the financial performance of the department, managing spending and inventories to align with fluctuations in product demand. Defines and implements strategy to achieve results as measured by established metrics, and to continuously improve operational performance.
Manage performance of Packaging Operations team; provide leadership and guidance to team and staff to execute plans desired to consistently achieve unit deliverables related to all of the mission elements.
Supports all aspects of direct report development including Career Development, Performance Management, Training, Business unit Goals and Objectives, as well as supporting and demonstrating all of the Pfizer Leader Behaviors.
Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret, relate and compare information from multiple sources and identify complex cause and effect relationships.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent
10 years of directly related experience and at least 5 years in a Packaging Environment
5+ years of experience leading direct reports
Experience in the manufacture of parenteral liquid drug products or visual inspection
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Demonstrated innovation and continuous improvement of work processes and deliverables
Proven track record of delivering results consistently while being a role model for the Pfizer Leader Behaviors.
