What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer's dynamic engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of manufacturing processes to bring products from research to manufacturing. You will leverage your technical capabilities to understand the inherent problems of transfer of technology from the research stage to manufacturing, in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. You will conduct tests and measurements throughout the stages of production and troubleshoot production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.

As a Manager, your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for products, processes or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of engineering, you will also work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Ability to manage and lead up to 7 direct reports working on complex technical and cross function projects.

  • Serve as a business technical representative for carps fill process related issues that can have significant business impact.

  • Serve as business process owner of carps fill process and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for inquiries and investigations.

  • Works with leadership to develop support development of Carpuject Filling Line strategy and direction.

  • provide troubleshooting, root cause analysis serving as scientific and technical subject matter expert on issues that affect the Carpuject Filling Lines.

  • Provide guidance, lead/co-lead projects, manage own time to meet objectives, plan resource requirements for projects across the department.

  • Collaborate to identify and implement improvements in the business practices.

  • Drive alignment across stakeholders on technical strategies and priorities for the Carpuject Filling Lines.

  • Measure the output of risk assessment and initiatives executed with each site to ensure optimal process robustness and knowledge management results are obtained.

  • Develop solutions to complex problems which requires the use of ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.

  • Manage, implement and monitor continuous improvement processes.

  • Works independently on most assignments using knowledge and work experience to achieve desired results.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Associate's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience OR Ph.D. with 0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated leadership, management and technical capabilities

  • Experience working with Supply operations, as well as enabling functions, managing and leading projects to meet agreed deadlines, including regulatory submissions to support new products

  • Strong understanding of packaging component suppliers

  • Proven project management, analytical, problem solving skills

  • Understanding of biological / vaccine requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree

  • Relevant pharmaceutical experience

  • Practical experience in facilitating and conducting risk assessments

  • Strong mammalian cell culture expertise required, knowledge of other heterologous expression systems
