Kansas State University is a land-grant university with a student population of nearly 20,000, with additional campuses located in Salina and Olathe, Kansas. The main campus, located in Manhattan, Kansas, resides in a vibrant community of 56,000 located in the scenic Flint Hills of Northeast Kansas, just two hours west of Kansas City.\ \ The Division of Communications and Marketing (DCM) provides strategic communications and marketing leadership for Kansas State University. Our results-oriented team of experienced and talented professionals is responsible for helping the university to communicate with one voice on all three campuses, statewide, nationally and worldwide, in deeply-rooted support of the university\'s mission and values.\ \ The successful Video Producer candidate will:
- Produce, record and edit recruitment and marketing videos for distribution on television, web and social media.
- Consult with clients to develop video treatments, strategies, timelines and budgets.
- Assist other video producers as needed.
- Manage studio and location video recordings.
- Maintain and operate audio, video and lighting equipment.
- Manage and organize media assets and archiving.

- Associate Degree and three years of relevant experience.
- This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
\ Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Certificate in video or media production.
- A minimum of three (3) years progressive experience in video producing, videography and non-linear editing.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills with word processing and spreadsheets.
- Experience creating and monitoring video production timelines and budgets.
- Demonstrated excellent aesthetic judgement.
- Bachelor\'s degree in related field.
- Experience with client-based v deo production.
- Experience in higher education environment.
- Live multi-camera production experience.
- Video scriptwriting experience.
- Adobe Premiere Pro experience.
- Adobe After Effects experience.
- Adobe Photoshop experience.
- Location audio and lighting experience.
