\ \ Student-Athlete Services Post Graduate Intern\ \ Department: 3670001110 K-State Athletics Inc (Agcy)\ Job no: 517078\ Employment type: Athletics\ Location: Manhattan, Kansas\ Worksite: On-site requirement\ Categories: Student Affairs / Services, Athletics\ Pay Grade: 001\ \ \ About This Role:\ K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a Student-Athlete Services Post Graduate Intern, which is a temporary, full-time, benefits-eligible position for up to 24 months.\ \ An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
- Assist in the day-to day operations of the Student-Athlete Success Center
- Mentor student-athletes, monitoring the academic progress of selected student-athletes
- Supervise study table, unofficial initial eligibility evaluations of prospective student-athletes, recruiting and other projects as assigned
- Assist with academically at-risk student-athletes, new student-athlete orientation and summer bridge student-athlete transition program
- Participate in weekly professional development meetings

- Bachelor\'s degree at time of application
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Working knowledge of NCAA eligibility bylaws
\ Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in student-athlete services / athletics academic services
- Minimum of one year experience in student-athlete academic support / athletics academic services
- Master\'s Degree or making progress toward a Master\'s Degree in education, college student development, academic advising, sport management or other related degree program

- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
