Kansas State University Research Assistant in Manhattan, Kansas

About This Role:

Dr. Takashi Ito's Lab, in the Department of Chemistry at Kansas State University, is seeking a full-time, term, 12-month appointment as a Research Assistant. The successful applicant will be involved in the preparation/characterization of electrodes modified with novel anion receptors, and the quantitative evaluation of their properties using electrochemical, microscopic, and spectroscopic methods. This is an opportunity to participate in NSF-funded collaborative research with Prof. Amar Flood and Dr. Yi Yi at Indiana University.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field

Preferred Requirements:

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience in analytical chemistry, electrochemistry research, and/or the preparation and characterization of nonporous materials.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:

$36,000 to $48,000 annually
