Operating over 10 counties in North-Central Kansas, we provide a full range of psychotherapy, crisis, medication management, and substance abuse recovery services to over 7000 adults, adolescents, and children every year. Pawnee is the only provider in our service area who welcomes anyone in need of mental health services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year regardless of their insurance, status as a client, or ability to pay. The Role You Play

As an APRN at Pawnee, you will be an essential member of our medical team. You will be working in an outpatient setting, with a regular clinical schedule of M-F, 8-5 with some flexibility as needed. You will also assist in staffing our crisis stabilization unit for one week at a time, on a rotational basis. Your hours will not change while staffing the CSU.

  • The Day-to-Day
    1. Help patients of all ages by conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management and education
    2. Consult on clinical cases for the medical staff
    3. Directly impact the organization by active participation in the Quality and Risk Review process
    4. Evaluate patients for admission to inpatient mental health or substance use treatment
    5. Collaborate with staff from support to nursing to mental health
  • Other Duties As Assigned
    1. Maintain continuing education and regular training events
    2. Act as an advocate for mental health to patients, family members and the community
