Job Title: Main Office Secretary - Manhattan High School
Job Brief:
- The Main Office Secretary position is a vital administrative position within a school setting. This person is responsible for working with the Office Professional Team, assisting in organizing substitutes, answering the main office phone, helping with enrollment, social media communication, and testing.

Salary:
- \$13.00/hour
Hours Per Day:
- 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Days Per Year:
- 216 dayposition.
Benefits:

Reports To:
- Building Principal\'s Secretary.
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board\'s policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for working with the Office Professional Team, assisting in organizing substitutes, answering the main office phone, helping with enrollment, social media communication, and testing.
- Attendance of students (taking phone calls and messages from parents and marking attendance); follow up with parents/guardians.
- Process enrollment forms for returning students at your grade level and assist in getting any new students oriented to the building.
- Activities- work with the administration to schedule transportation, room usage, and run the calendar for all activities.
- Screens telephone calls and visitors, handles recurring but not necessarily routine matters, and refers through proper channels those which cannot be handled; assists visitors in filling out forms and applications.
- Handle written communications, including mail and inter-office mail.
- Removes material from files upon request and keeps records of the movement of file materials.
- Welcomes office visitors and keeps track of visitor/volunteer sign-ins.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
