This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial data to produce financial reports on a variety of campus-wide activities, which are used by external agencies to evaluate the performance of the University. Initiates and enforces financial changes to ensure compliance with all applicable procedures, policies, and regulations. This position manages and leads special projects related to report development, as well as conducts various statistical analyses and modeling involving financial data and works with leadership to develop a strategic model for financial operations. - Requires a bachelor\'s degree.
- Requires three years of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
\ Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or other business-related field.
- Knowledge of University systems and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve financial problems of considerable complexity requiring research, analysis and implementation of change.
- Related work experience with higher education or governmental agencies financial analysis or accounting and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
- Knowledge of financial computer software logic and fund accounting theory applicable to higher education.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to accurately assess data, econcile discrepancies, make reasonable interpretations, and make logical recommendations.
- Efficient use of computer applications, including advanced-level experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
