rAbout This Role:
The department of Clincial Sciences within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Fellow (Post Doc). The purpose of this post doc position is to assist in a variety of Beef Cattle Institute research efforts. These efforts include data analytics and other industry relevant projects. The qualified applicant will assist with project management, logistical coordination, and collaboration with multiple colleagues. The person will need to possess skills in all aspects of livestock research including experimental design, authoring protocols, designing data capture forms, performing statistical analysis, interpreting results, and generating outcomes in the form of public presentations and peer-reviewed manuscripts. Additional skills include data management, data analytics, statistical expertise, and generating deliverables in the form of oral or written presentations. Experience in project management and completing goals in a timely fashion is necessary. Experience in beef cattle research will be important as this person will work independently in addition to collaborating with faculty, graduate and veterinary students.
+ Research coordination: Work with Beef Cattle Institute team to achieve research goals including data analysis, resource / personnel allocation, logistics coordination, and outcome evaluation. The person in this position will be responsible for assisting with a variety of research projects including live-animal and data-based research. The person will help meet project milestones, define and adhere to project plans and budgets, and provide assistance and leadership in writing future proposals. Work will be summarized in written and oral forms and submitted for publication in peer-reviewed manuscripts.
+ Work with graduate students and collaborative faculty to achieve project goals related to research programs.
+ Assist BCI team in completing project goals associated with the research program including big data analytics, project management, and logistics coordination.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

+ Skills and aptitude in conducting and disseminating research
+ Preference to previous use of statistical software R
+ Training in beef cattle research with a history of publications
